We are Calathea Moments - musicians, speakers and married couple. We specialise in weddings and events in southern Germany, on Lake Starnberg, Lake Tegernsee, Lake Chiemsee and in the mountains - as well as destination weddings in Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol and Italy.
We met through music – and it has been our shared life ever since. As a married couple, parents of four children, and a well-rehearsed team, we have been on stage together for many years. In 2014, we founded Calathea Moments to accompany people through the most important moments of their lives – with music, with words, and with character. Because we are a couple ourselves, we know from personal experience what such a day feels like – and it is precisely this understanding that flows into every speech and every ceremony.
Our focus is on weddings and events in Southern Germany, on the Starnberg, Tegern and Chiem Lakes, and in the mountains – as well as on destination weddings in Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol, and Italy. Whether it's an alpine wedding with a mountain panorama or a Mediterranean villa: we bring the right atmosphere to wherever you're celebrating.
Our journey began in 2014 with something very small - a calathea flower that Martin gave to his wife.
A flower that has become a symbol for us: for growth, for life and for big dreams that you only understand when you start to live them yourself.
Because some moments in life are quiet.
Some are loud with happiness.
And some need both: words that last and music that carries.
We have been accompanying people through moments like these for over 11 years:
through farewells and new beginnings, through memories and celebrations, through tears and laughter.
We were able to comfort, give support, create spaces - and at the same time celebrate, breathe a sigh of relief and touch hearts.
For a long time we were called Calathea Music.
And yes: music is still our heartbeat today.
But we have long been more than just a musical duo.
We combine speech and melody.
We combine depth and lightness.
We combine farewells and beginnings.
All these pillars, all these feelings, all these stories have led us to a decision:

For us, it’s not just what we do that counts, but how – and you are always at the centre, not the schedule. We don't put on a show for you; you can rely on us from the initial planning to the final note, and if a day doesn't go as planned, we remain calm and find solutions.
Because we work full-time and stay on top of things with singing and public speaking training, we get a little better every year.
No prefabricated text. Every speech emerges from your preliminary conversation and tells your story – not one that would suit every couple.
Own equipment, soundcheck before every gig, on-site at least an hour before the guests arrive. And if the schedule goes awry, we stay calm and sort it out.
Over 55 years of combined stage experience – and yet, we rehearse every new song request until it's perfect. Routine never replaces preparation for us.
We only accept a limited number of appointments per year. Those who book receive our full attention rather than a production-line service.
